Beamish - Pit Head Machinery

Beamish is a great place for a day trip - it's a working museum and concentrates on social history - working and housing conditions of not too long ago - near to Durham in the North of England.

Here is the actual pit head machinery that once was used in a coal mine - a fascinating place to wonder around.

Hi Petrus,

Cool blog. I can't tell you how much I appreciate your help. I removed the time and date (clock) gadget and... the problem was solved. Thanks a million.

I thought there were paid Google techs who monitored the help forums. I was surprised that you and I never got a response and help from anyone out there. I posted your resolution on my help request so anyone else with the same problem with find the documented help you gave me.

Again, thanks!!!

Dave

Certainly an interesting place to learn a lot about people's working condition at a time not so far from ours.
The machinery is a wonderful subject for picture. I guess it wasn't as clean and painted at the time of its glory !
