The Past

The past is a foreign country: they do things differently there.

Ben

It must be over 6 weeks since we took on Ben - now getting bigger and more independent.

No taking his eyes off the ball ... no time for the camera.

Heaton Park

Down by the lakeside in Heaton Park is a cafe very well used by dog walkers, parents with children, cyclists, joggers and many more : the outside seating area is always busy.

Rumour is that soon the cafe will close - no doubt in order to save money but this will be a great shame - this cafe provides a meeting point for a great many people and provides for a real social and community need.

I read that many of the parks in Manchester are to become Nature Reserves - in other words they will be left to go wild and have less money spent on them.

What a cynic I am ...

FA Cup

Well only one Manchester team could proceed to the next round of the FA Cup and after an exciting game - I only fell asleep for five minutes - Manchester United beat Manchester City 3-2.

Yes an exciting game actually - penalty - sending off - fight back and heavy rain by the look of it.

The next team United will meet will be their old rivals - Liverpool - watch for sparks flying....

Penguins - move your cursor and take them for a walk !!

Say it as it is ......

Shoot for the moon, even if you miss, you'll land amongst the stars.

Look around !!!

We have no time to stand and stare?
