Shoulder Surfing

As I idled through the BBC Languages web page today I came across a new phrase - SHOULDER SURFING .

I've never heard of this before - originally it meant stealing someone's wave whilst out surfing but now in American English it has an alternate meaning.

Shoulder Surfing is the act of standing close to someone in a queue at a bank or ATM machine and reading their pin number whilst looking over their shoulder.

Well today I've learn something new..

If you are interested in learning or improving your English then look at the BBC at http://www.bbc.co.uk and click on languages.
