If you need to get around Guardamar then the No.1 bus is a good option. You can journey from the Dunes via the church and town hall square , bus station , main shops and supermarket to the Hotel Campomar. Walking back from the hotel along the beach as far as the promenade makes for a pleasant stroll of less than 30 minutes
Warning - the bus no longer starts at the port - lack of demand I guess and in winter there are no buses during the siesta time
Winter time sees an influx of Spanish pensioners on reduced rate holidays and at certain times of the day getting on the bus can be a pain - no standing room left and a lot of pushing and pulling - not for the faint hearted
