The Past

The past is a foreign country: they do things differently there.

Hollingworth Lake, Rochdale

A very popular spot for walkers is the " Weavers Seaport " at Rochdale - official name Hollingworth Lake.

Built not for drinking water but supplying water to the local canals.

Here are some of the local residents.

All the amenities necessary are here - pubs, cafes, bus stop, shops and information centre plus boating centre.
There is even a nature reserve....

Penguins - move your cursor and take them for a walk !!

Say it as it is ......

Shoot for the moon, even if you miss, you'll land amongst the stars.

Look around !!!

What is this life, full of care,

We have no time to stand and stare?
