M is for Montréal which we visited in 2003 for a very wet and windy 2 hours while we waited for our coach to take us to the railway station for an overnight train journey to Halifax.
The 2 hours just allowed a little time to visit the Basilique Notre-Dame-de-Montréal and basically shelter from the rain ..

These remind me of the dark churches in Jerusalem. Hard to photograph but you've done a nice job here.
Montreal is on my list of places I want to visit. I enjoyed your photos!
Thank you for featuring Montréal, one of my favourite cities in my country Canada, on ABC Wednesday.
Hopefully you will be able to spend more time exploring Montréal on future trips.

Altar paintings are some of my most intriguing motives. So much beauty and so much pain
A rather Magnificent shelter.
It's very beautiful indeed!
Great captures--what a beautiful place. I enlarged them to see the great murals behind the altar. Very nice. Thanks for sharing!
p.s. Good luck with the mushrooms. You'll have to keep us posted.
Sound like a beatiful M. The artwork is exquisite.
That's a very ornate church! I don't think I've ever been in one quite so colourful and decorative!
We were in Montreal in July and the churches there were so beautiful....we loved Montreal.
