The Past

The past is a foreign country: they do things differently there.

Monochrome Monday - 29th September

My great-great-grandfather - Charles Thomas Bullivant 1825-1893. He lived in Alwalton in Huntingdonshire and worked on the land.

I would guess that this picture was taken around the 1870' 1880's

He's with his wife and sister - but which is which ( I've no idea )  Any guesses ?

I said to Leslie earlier that these old family pictures could form the basis of a sub-theme to Monochrome.
Pure validity.

What strikes me is the quality of the image. With all tah we have open to us in the digital manipulation era you can't beat an original like this.

Penguins - move your cursor and take them for a walk !!

Say it as it is ......

Shoot for the moon, even if you miss, you'll land amongst the stars.

Look around !!!

What is this life, full of care,

We have no time to stand and stare?
