ABC Wednesday - D

ABC Wednesday - D for Danube

Boats push their way against the current of the river Danube between the ancient cities of Buda and Pest.

Quite an elegant city - once part of the famous Austria-Hungarian Empire - Budapest is now the capital city of Hungary.

I have heard that Hungary is a beautiful country and the Danube has had music written in its honour. Lovely photo.

I was there in 2005, interesting experience, the 3 days weren't long enough. No chance of going back from my local airport.
