Rochdale - Hollingworth Lake

A rather windy day today in the UK - here at Hollingworth Lake the wind is whipping up the waves .

Not many people about today apart from one or two bird watchers with their special cameras - I guess that in very windy weather there is a chance of seeing some rare species that has been blown off course .

Windy for what seems like weeks now, miracle the birds still have any feathers.

such a long time since I went to Hollingworth lake - it seemed to have lost much of its magic though only 15 years ago.

I have never been to Rochdale and certainly didn't know it had such a lovely lake.

Shoot for the moon, even if you miss, you'll land amongst the stars.
