Bury - Sir Robert Peel


If you were famous then you may be lucky and have a pub named after you - Sir Robert Peel a famous son of Bury had this honour ..




A statue as well !!



Sir Robert was a Prime Minister and also a founder of the Metropolitan Police - hence the nickname for the police - Peelers -
