Heywood - Queen's Park 2
This little island in the centre of Queen's Park lake is quite famous locally for it's large heron colony. It attracts a number of bird watchers.
The lake itself attracts the usual number of Mallard but also a considerable number of Canada Geese.
It's not been possible to take a boat out on the lake since around 1971/72 and today attracts only anglers, dog walkers and the birds.

Penguins - move your cursor and take them for a walk !!
Say it as it is ......
Shoot for the moon, even if you miss, you'll land amongst the stars.
Look around !!!
What is this life, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare?
