The creature ( looks like a lion ) guards the driveway up to Dunham Massey Hall.
As a child I visited the Park many times but it was not until the late 1970's were the general public allowed in. It was a further 30 years before I actually managed last weekend to visit the Hall which I'm glad I did - because - it is a very interesting place !!!.
