This old photograph was taken on the Isle of Man about a hundred years ago - in the early 1900's.
Sorry about the quality - a bit of tear and wear and coffee stains by the look of it.
One of the ladies is my grandfather's first wife and her sister. Not grand people - I assume the clothes were provided in those days by the photographer and used only for the posing of the photograph.

What a classic shot and especially cool that it's family.
That photo must be quite a blast from the past for you! I imagine even how and why this photo was set up would make for an intriguing story.
I never knew photographers provided clothing for the photograph! Learned something!
What a wonderful picture to present. Perfect for today.
You explained me something because I have some old pictures too, and didn't realize that dresses could have been lent by the photographer. I was wondering how my family members could afford it.
Babooshka will love this.
Isle of Man! Now this is very interesting to me as the Ramsey Daily Blogger. I note it is Douglas Head written in the corner. Fascinating how blogging world's collide.
I love these classic posed photographs. Photography must have been such a wonder in those days.
I love their clothes! Why don't we wear clothes like that anymore?
My mono photo is posted here. Please have a look if you have time. Thanks.
