First swallow of the year..

Well surprise surprise I've actually seen my first swallow of the year in Springfield Park Rochdale.

Surprise because it is still cold - not much is growing in the garden and heavy rain due tomorrow.

I doubt if the swallow will find much insect life to nibble.

Let's just hope it is a sign that Spring really has arrived ...
