The skyline of Salford has changed in recent years - this area was once a notorious slum not far from Manchester docks. Now it houses smart mod tech office space.
I stayed at the Salford Quays Marriot a few weeks ago (first time I've been back to Manchester in 20 years) and some impressive signs of change in particular the tram system. Met an acquaintance for lunch, afternoon tourism and a birthday party in Chorlton. Going again next month.
